What is SAW Technology?

SAW was born of need, it allows the client unlimited editing capabilities, but yet is powerful enough to run an automated website.

    Yet it still can be scaled down to just make life easier for a simple personal website.

In short, SAW is built in a solid frame work or scaffolding that we can scale to fit nearly any application.  It uses standards OpenSource technologies such as PHP and MySQL for portability, that's right you can take it with you.  Our system does not include "vendor lock-in" as a feature.

    Restrict access and privileges those who need it.
  • Scheduled Publishing
    Edit your website once a month or once a year, your users won't know the difference.  Set the publish date on pages and they will appear as you command, and they can be removed by schedule as well.
  • Podcasting
    We helped develop the technique of Podcasting using SAW - it couldn't be simpler
  • Photo Slideshows
    Again, always leading the charge for media rich content we developed the process for making beautiful photo slideshows with SAW.

    Using other OpenSource tools we make sharing video a snap.
  • Unlimited Pages
    We don't restrict the number of pages you can create, and it's easy to do.
  • Content Organization
    SAW uses a standard file / folder organizational system similar to Microsoft Windows, plus re-organizing is no chore either.
  • Content Tagging
    SAW supports content tagging, that means you can put content in multiple places, or categories, no more duplicate content.
  • Search
    SAW has integrated search features, some with AJAX functionality.
  • Security
    "Many Eyes make for secure code" SAW is OpenSource, that means anyone can look in every dark corner for problems, and they do.  SAW is in active development and security updates.
  • Search Engine Optimization
    No, it won't do it for you, but with SAW you can be one step ahead of the competition,though the use of Friendly URLs, custom meta tags and a SAW exclusive automatic Google Site Maps.
  • Portability - Future Proofing
    If at any point you decide SAW is not for you, you can "bake" your site, that means the system will export your site to flat html files that you can put on any server.
  • Backups / Dependability
    We do nightly server backups, but the system allows you to make your own as well.
  • Community
    SAW is of course based on the MODx Core - It has an active community of thousands of users.

I didn't have ANY complications like I have with other hosting solutions. Just want to let you guys know your server configs are second to none.
